The “How”

My approach to empowering clients in developing their most resilient mind and body involves a combination of:

  • manual therapeutic bodywork

  • detailed assessment and treatment of  abnormal movement patterns through tactile resistance and exercises

  • education on proper body mechanics and pain neuroscience

  • lifestyle coaching (nutritional advice, sleep patterning, breath-work training) to optimize and maintain gains.

  • one on one yoga for beginners and or recovering from injury/surgery

  • Restorative yoga private, semi-private, and off-site class

Physical therapy appointment details

First contact: 20 minutes free virtual visit to discuss symptoms, history, expectations and propose a plan of care.

First in-person visit (1 hour, 20 minutes) for thorough physical exam, movement pattern analysis, start manual therapy as needed, exercise prescription, patient education on self-empowerment strategies.

Follow up visits (1 hour) to continue assessment and advance treatment via manual therapy, exercises, and patient education.

Before our first in-person meeting

Email me a write up of the background history , any symptoms or concerns you have. It should include any history of accidents, injuries, medical conditions, digestive irregularities, headaches, surgeries or significant scars (bad bike falls, etc). Especially if you have chronic pain, even old nearly forgotten incidents from childhood can influence the pain patterns.  Psycho-emotional injury or trauma can also influence physical health and pain patterns. You need only reveal to the extent that you are comfortable sharing. If you prefer not to write about it — leave it off this list, and share as you are comfortable when we meet.
